Case Study 1: Moving Swimming Pool Floor
The following photographs depict a moving swimming pool floor retro-fitted into a municipal swimming complex at the Prince Regent Leisure Centre in Brighton.
The pool measures 12 metres by 10 metres and is 3 metres deep, and is an excellent example of a municipal pool that can cater for many different activities due to the predetermined water levels incorporated within the electronic control system.
It is worth noting that the hydraulic drive system is located pool side within a feature enclosure, as well as being a necessity due to the retro fit nature of the project this also acts as a point of interest for the users of the swimming complex.
